Visiting Laguna Beach

Laguna Beach, California, is a beautiful seaside resort town famous for its artist community. Laguna Beach is home to the internationally known "Pageant of the Masters", an annual event held by the Festival of Arts. Creatively this event is known for the "living pictures" wherein classical and contemporary works of art are recreated by real people posing in almost exact detail to the work of art they are portraying. The first festival started in 1932 and has been held each summer since. Make sure you stay until the end! A world acclaimed recreation of The Last Supper will not disappoint.

But the real attraction is seven miles of beautiful beaches, perfect weather, the finest dining establishments, nightlife, and a sense of family within the community making Laguna Beach one of the most sought after places to visit and live.

Laguna Beach has a warm Mediterranean climate with abundant sunshine all year long, and water temperatures are some of the warmest in Southern California. In early to mid-September, temperatures range from 73 degrees Fahrenheit to 75 degrees Fahrenheit.

When visiting, you will have plenty to do. Many start by visiting the beach in downtown Laguna, called Main Beach. With a repertoire of hidden beaches everywhere, we encourage visiting Thousand Steps Beach, West Street, Crescent Bay, and the coves off Cliff Drive. You will find the most relaxing, calming places where you can sit back and enjoy the sand between your toes.

If all this sightseeing and beach combing has made you decide to call Laguna your home (as many before you have) you will find that not one home in this town is alike. With quaint cottages, quiet safe neighborhoods, and an award winning school district, this is a family centered town. Our school district is made up of 4 schools; 2 Elementary schools, (El Morro and Top of the World), one middle school, (Thurston) and of course Laguna Beach High School. Your children will be in the hands of the sharpest minds, from the small class size and individual attention,  to the excellent teacher base. Newsweek Ranked Laguna Beach High School one of the Nation’s best Public High Schools in 2012, saying Laguna Beach has proven to be one of the most effective in producing college-ready high school graduates.

Whether you decide just to visit or make Laguna Beach your home, you will love it here and discover their is truly something for everyone! We love talking about our town so don’t be afraid to ask for directions or simply where to get a great cup of coffee, we welcome you!
